A Journal of Furry Lit
Typewriter Emergencies is a journal that publishes all things furry. It's a magazine that releases two issues a year filled with anthropomorphic short stories, reviews, poetry, and articles. Our goal is to create a space for furry authors to publish their work and get a small payment for the work that is accepted by us.
We do not have any themed issues at the moment, however a theme may be implemented in the future. Our issues are free to read online, or if you prefer a Kindle or Nook version, one is available for $0.99.
This journal started out as an anthology. It was a rather dark anthology on the theme of tragedy. Weasel Press had intended on making a second anthology to accompany the first, however one never made it into production. Instead, it was decided to turn Typewriter Emergencies into a flexible online literary journal seeking a diverse collection of work. We have put out a couple of issues and are eager to start on future projects. Open up, hitch a ride and see what strange tails come out.
Furry is a fanbase for works centered around anthropomorphic animals. Think Zootopia or Bojack Horseman. The works we publish feature animals given human characteristics. If you are an author interested in learning more about what is Furry, we recommend checking out the Furry Writers Guild.
